FRETTEN
For a commissioned work for the Festival Retz 2025, Ridler engaged with the eponymous anti-homeland novel FRETTEN by the Austrian writer Helena Adler. This marks the first musical homage to the linguistic intensity of the extraordinary author, who passed away far too early in early 2024 at the age of just 40.
In search of a new musical language, Ridler created the new ensemble VoCe Plus, featuring three outstanding instrumentalists: Asja Valcic, Lena Fankhauser, and Sophie Hassfurther.
